Your new role
In this role as a Senior Construction Estimator on a day-to-day basis your responsibilities will include the following:
Analyzing and interpreting architectural plans
Obtaining quotes from suppliers, and subs
Providing detailed proposals and accurate bid packages
Attending meetings with vendors, clients and architects.
Capable of performing detailed quantity take-offs and organizing the quantities with unit pricing in production of an estimate.
The ability to build a full conceptual cost estimate from architectural sketches/schematics.
Experience in developing and implementing value engineering solutions to drive down project costs for the owner while maintaining a high level of construction quality.
Ability to negotiate throughout the bidding process
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and aggressive deadlines.
Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail
A team player with a positive attitude who can also work independently, is self-motivated and success-driven, yet able and willing to take direction.

The Director of Estimating for Apex Clean Energy, specializing in renewable energy is responsible for leading the estimating function for utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Engineering and Pre-Construction, this role ensures the delivery of accurate, timely, and competitive cost estimates that drive successful project budgets and execution in the renewables sector. Primary Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop the estimating team in preparing detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for EPC renewable energy projects, including solar PV, wind, and battery storage installations.
Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, procurement, and finance teams to ensure estimates are aligned with technical requirements, project schedules, and company objectives.
Oversee the review and interpretation of RFPs, project plans, and technical documents to identify all cost components, including site development, permitting, equipment procurement (modules, inverters, turbines, batteries), balance of plant, interconnection, and commissioning.
Develop and implement standardized estimating procedures, tools, and methodologies tailored to the renewable energy sector, ensuring best practices and compliance with industry standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, equipment pricing, labor rates, and regulatory requirements impacting renewable project costs.
Manage relationships with EPC contractors, OEMs, suppliers, and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and current market intelligence.
Support the bid process by preparing comprehensive bid packages, engaging with subcontractors and suppliers, and conducting risk assessments specific to renewable energy projects.
Analyze and incorporate data on permitting, interconnection, environmental compliance, and land acquisition costs unique to renewables.
Conduct post-project reviews to compare estimated versus actual costs, driving continuous improvement in estimating accuracy and departmental performance.
Provide strategic input for development, business development, project feasibility, and proposal development for new markets and technologies.
Ensure robust document control, compliance with audit requirements, and the secure retention of all estimating records
Qualifications
To succeed as a Director of Estimating at Apex Clean Energy, you’ll need to excel within the following criteria:
Experience estimating and budgeting for large construction projects (EPC, Vendor, Owner or IPP), with a focus on Renewable Energy Projects.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in an Estimating Department leadership function.
Strong communication skills and ability to relate to a corporate office environment as well as construction job sites.
The successful candidate will have a passion for Renewable Energy Projects, a strong leadership presence and caring attitude for people, and an ability to deliver results.
Deep knowledge of renewable energy project development, construction, and estimating practices, including permitting, interconnection, and regulatory processes.
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Job Description
Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 33 years in the industry, is seeking a full-time Cost Estimator with civil experience relating to railways/transit in the New York City, NY & Newark, NJ area.
The ideal candidate has at least 8 years of experience in the field of construction as a full-time Estimator, with demonstrated projects they have worked on relating to large-scale civil railway construction.
If selected, candidates will need to provide digital proof of licensure and certification for all U.S.-based accolades, including academic degree, before time of interview. Information provided is handled with discretion and will be used purely for benefit of employment with various government agency clients and associated background checks.
This is a full-time, Hybrid position in New York, NY.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to identify scope, quantities, and specifications for tunnel construction activities.
Conduct quantity take-offs, material pricing, labor cost estimation, and subcontractor quote analysis to develop comprehensive and accurate cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to understand project requirements, technical aspects, and scheduling constraints that may impact cost estimates.
Update and maintain a cost tracking system to monitor project expenditures, track budget deviations, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Participate in value engineering exercises, risk assessments, and cost-saving initiatives to optimize project costs without compromising quality or safety standards.
Keep abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to ensure cost estimates are current, accurate, and competitive.
QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to, the following:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to construction required.
8+ years of professional experience working directly as a full-time Estimator involved in large-scale civil railway construction projects.
Proficiency in cost estimating software, construction cost databases, and MS Excel for detailed analysis and reporting.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat)
Driver's License preferred.
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Fluent in English with strong verbal/written communication skills

Industry Expertise Required
Thorough understanding of the installation of process piping, various types of process equipment related to the food / agriculture industry, and structural steel.
The ability to read and understand blueprints and project specifications.

Burgos Group is seeking a Construction Assistant Project Manager to support multiple federal construction projects being managed out of our New Mexico and New Jersey offices. This position is remote with a minimum of 25% travel to our offices and job sites as needed.
The Assistant Project Manager assists the Project Manager with the planning, scheduling and coordinating of all phases of a project. This includes subcontractor relations, cost accounting and billing procedures, procurement, and liaison with owners, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers. Must be well versed using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Access) and scheduling software (Primavera and/or MS Project). We have a career opportunity for a Construction Engineer in our Connecticut division. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily inspection and documentation of infrastructure projects including road, bridge, water main, and sewer construction, as well as play an important role in managing client relationships. The Impact You Will Have

Perform basic documentation audits, log, track and/or prepare responses to submittals and RFI's and perform materials testing including concrete testing and density testing

What You Will Need
