This includes facilitating the North Berkshire HEAL Coalition to reduce SUD, increase access to SUD and behavioral health services, and spearheading educational and communications activities to reduce personal and community stigma against people who use drugs and/or have SUD. Working closely with multiple diverse stakeholders including local government, medical and behavioral health providers, people with lived and living experience, first responders, and individual community members alike, the Coordinator will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive, community-driven strategic plan to address gaps in the local landscapes of SUD prevention, harm reduction, treatment and recovery, along with the related Social Determinants of Health. This is a full-time, position located at North Adams Regional Hospital. Core work hours (10 am to 4 pm) must be covered every workday unless otherwise agreed. Full-time staff must work a minimum of 35 hours per week, with occasional weekend and night meetings as required. This position reports to the Public Health Program Manager. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES · Act as a BRPC public health expert for substance use and behavioral health issues in northern Berkshire County, MA. · Act as the project manager for the North County HEAL Coalition, including managing funds, deliverables, reporting, and amendments to funders (in consultation with Finance Director and Public Health Program Manager). · Coordinate the North County Opiod Abatement Collaborative (OAC), including assisting the chair and co-chair to schedule meetings, ensure meetings are posted and facilitated in a manner consistent with MA Open Meeting laws, take meeting minutes and disseminate, and all other necessary duties · Develop and update the strategic plan and conduct research and landscape analysis as needed. Ensure evaluation of the plan on an ongoing basis. · Coordinate subcontractors, invoicing, program planning, publicity/ communications and community outreach/ engagement. · Represent the coalition, participating partners and BRPC at local, state and regional meetings. · Provide presentations and learning activities as requested/appropriate to community groups and municipal leaders. · All other project manager/coordinator tasks associated with the coalition. · Pursue additional substance use prevention and reduction opportunities, including identification of opportunities, coordination of partners, and coordination of grant writing.
