Position Overview:
Provide technical process support in a cross-functional, collaborative, team environment for an electronics production operation which includes SMT and through-hole electronics assembly, conformal coating and encapsulation, final assembly, and test. Focus will be on production assembly operations downstream of the SMT PCB population process. This includes new product introduction and current product support. Typical responsibilities are listed below. Work closely with manufacturing engineering, test engineering, production and quality department personnel to accomplish timely product launches, conformance to specifications and quality improvements.

Essential Functions:
Define process for new product and process improvement for current product in accordance with IPC industry standards
Investigate and solve quality problems
Respond to engineering questions and review/approve files from PCB suppliers
Create and revise documentation including process flow, PFMEA, control plans, detailed operator work instructions, etc.
Train production trainers on new products and processes
Support manufacturing engineering department in accomplishment of design validation builds, process validation builds and start of production
Assist in production equipment selection and fixture design
Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of an Associate's degree; 5 year minimum working in a manufacturing environment
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings; able to read and interpret electronic schematic diagrams
Must understand manufacturing processes commonly used in the manufacture of electronic assemblies
Must have a personal knowledge of IPC standards and their application to electronics manufacturing
Experience in L.S.S. and/or lean manufacturing principles and tools is a plus
Proficient user of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.)
Experience in creation of documentation required for new product launch including Work Instructions, Process Flow, PFMEA, control plans, etc.
Experience working in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with potting and conformal coating is a plus
Experience working in an ISO 9001 (or other related quality standard) compliant organization is strongly preferred
LSS Green Belt certification is a plus
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing environment
Essential physical requirements: climbing, standing, stooping, walk production floor for extended periods; ability to carry, lift, move transport, position, put, remove materials frequently up to 20 lbs. across the production floor
