Qualifications & Preferred Skills: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 8+ years of experience in mechanical design of medium voltage switchgear or something similar is required. Proficient in interpreting and working from single line and three line diagrams. Strong expertise in 3D CAD tools: AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience preferred. Proven understanding of electrical clearance requirements at various voltage levels. Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (ANSI, ASME, NEC, UL). Prior leadership or team management experience is highly preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineering talent. Background in manufacturing or industrial environments. Experience with design for manufacturability and cost optimization. Exposure to switchgear testing and validation processes.

The Project Manager / Design Engineer is expected to utilize expertise in the area of mechanical design and operations to deliver quality results to clients. Focus is on process safety management in the area of mechanical design. Emphasis is placed on quality of the work product and the efficiency of work execution. Your objective is to build relationships with key personnel at strategic customers and to manage and drive sales opportunities to closure. You will be required to eventually speak and present at customer lunch & learns, tradeshows and conferences, so being comfortable and technically articulate in front of an audience is an important skill.
