Job Duties and Responsibilities


The Field Operations Supervisor/Manager provides leadership and manages overall direction for the Field Service Technician team to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. We are looking for a leader with strong problem solving abilities, excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service focus.

As a Field Operations Supervisor/Manager you will be responsible for directing, coaching, and developing technicians to create a high performing team that delivers the best customer service possible. Specific duties:


Supporting new employees through training and future development; Demonstrating and coaching behaviors that ensure quality customer service; Training existing Installers/Technicians on changing processes, procedures and technologies; Conducting on-site inspections to evaluate and coach team members regarding quality service and adherence to safety standards; Monitoring and coaching to improve team and individual performance; Managing fleet-related processes including vehicle maintenance and upkeep; Addressing escalated customer and/or employee issues.



Skills, Experience and Requirements


As a Field Operations Supervisor/Manager you must be able to lead and motivate a diverse team to achieve common goals. We are looking for a supervisor/manager with excellent communication skills, energetic leadership style, strong problem solving abilities, and effective conflict resolution skills.


Additional requirements:


High School diploma, college degree preferred but not required; A strong competency in leading, developing, mentoring, and coaching; Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to obtain an elevated understanding of processes, procedures and responsibilities performed by direct reports; Ability to write reports and correspondence; Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills; Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, working in small spaces and/or various heights, work in all climates and safely operate a motor vehicle; Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

This individual is responsible for supervising operators in the field. This includes enforcing expectations and standards and providing direction and leadership in the field, directing and assisting operators in the performance of their shift routines, monitoring and coaching operators on their performance, conducting plant walkdowns to identify deficiencies, and review operator rounds. NOTE: This is not a site standard organization. For use only where allowed by site technical specifications / license. Position may be utilized to augment staffing at discretion of Operations Director / SOS. Salary from $108,900, plus sign-on, annual bonus and benefits.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Coordinates and supervises activities in the operations field to carry out directions
  • Complete validations of work order close outs
  • Oversee field activities. Review operator rounds and perform field walkdowns
  • Perform field activity briefs (80%)
  • Perform plant walkdowns to identify deficiencies and initiate corrective actions as appropriate. (10%)
  • Project work, outage assignments, or duties as assigned to support the site operations (10%)


JOB SCOPE

  • Demonstrates behavior that supports teams to improve the business
  • Participate in daily crew briefing with team members
  • Position reports to the Shift Manager

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • HS Diploma and 8 years of Power Plant Operator experience, of which three years must be in a Nuclear facility OR
  • An Associates (or greater) of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology or related science program or equivalency with 6 years of power plant operator experience OR
  • Documented training and experience applicable to power generation operating experience while a member of the Nuclear Navy program. With 6 years of power plant operator experience
  • Must have completed a positive Leadership Assessment (FLS)
  • Excellent communication sills
  • Excellent problem solving, decision-making and planning skills
  • Basic computer skills


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Supervisory Experience
