ABC7 Los Angeles is seeking experienced, skilled broadcast maintenance engineers for freelance employment. These positions will require diverse experience in installation and maintenance of modern digital, ENG, and RF transmission systems, as well as automated production systems and streaming technology.
Responsibilities:
Engineers are expected to help troubleshoot phone and walk in issues from the Newsroom, ENG field, and other staff in the building.
Engineers will assist in keeping the studio and control rooms prepared for broadcasts.
Engineers will work to keep ENG vehicles and equipment in working order, repair if possible, and when appropriate refer equipment to vendors for repair.
Maintenance Engineers will track station equipment and vehicle issues in an online ticketing system.
On occasion, it may be necessary to work at remote locations for repair, install, or live production purposes.
Shifts may be part or full-time and the ability to work a varied schedule.
Basic Qualifications:

Who we are
The Public Works Division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City's capital projects, streets and traffic operations. The Public Works team oversees the planning, design, installation, maintenance, and operation of all signs, pavement markings, traffic signals, intelligent transportation systems, and roadway lighting for all City Streets. This includes 238 signalized intersections, 800 traffic cameras, 29,000 streetlights, 22,000 regulatory and warning signs, and 275 miles of roadway striping. Maintenance of over 2,090 lane miles of streets and 130 miles of alleys requiring asphalt patching, repair and replacement of curbs and gutters, sidewalk repair, debris removal, and maintenance of landscaping in the City's right of ways. We also oversee the acquisition of professional services, design, construction, and construction management for transportation, utilities, community services, and other general government improvements.

Minimum qualifications
* A High School Diploma or GED; and
* 2 years of experience as a Chandler Street Maintenance Technician - CDL or 3 years of experience in street maintenance or civil construction, including the use and operation of construction and heavy equipment; and
* obtain and maintain a Maricopa County Dust Control Certification within 1 year of hire or promotion; and
* obtain and maintain a 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification within 1 year of hire or promotion; and

Informs Maintenance Control immediately of any unairworthy conditions found during performance of work assigned.
Coordinates with Maintenance Control to ensure that parts, manpower and equipment are in place to clear incoming discrepancies and Deferred Items (DI) in a timely manner.
Troubleshoots items and affects repair or oversees the troubleshooting and repair of company aircraft to assure that aircraft return to service as soon as possible, with minimal impact to schedule.
Ensures that only authorized essential maintenance providers, listed in the Maintenance Provider Manual, perform and release maintenance or perform inspections on RII designated systems listed in GMM.
Ensures that all aircraft maintenance is performed in accordance with FAA accepted or approved data.
May be authorized to perform a required inspection, however, he/she may not perform the item of work required to be inspected if he/she will perform the inspection.
Ensures that all aircraft records and maintenance paperwork packages are complete, correct and sent to Quality Control in a timely manner.
Rides on company aircraft, as required, to ensure that maintenance, maintenance documentation and aircraft handling are performed in accordance with Western Global Airlines approved procedures.
On arrival at the destination airport, the Maintenance Representative, if present:
- Prioritizes tasks in accordance with procedures outlined in GMM. - Ensures that the aircraft is maintained according to applicable Western Global standards and specifications as outlined in the Western Global GMM. - Reports all maintenance requirements to Maintenance Control. - Performs a walk-around inspection of the aircraft. - Oversees and assists with the ground handling of the aircraft, ensuring that ground operations involving the aircraft and its systems (e.g. fueling, servicing, use of ground power) are conducted according to applicable Western Global and AMM procedures. - Performs any required maintenance or servicing tasks to prepare the aircraft for the flight.
Maintenance Representative works directly with the Maintenance Control for accomplishment of all repairs and checks.
The carriage of sufficient tooling and equipment to perform basic maintenance tasks.
For Special Ferry Permits:

National Power is accepting applications to fill a Generator Service Technician opening in our Dubois, PA market. Under the general direction of and reporting to the Telecom Service Manager, the Generator Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of generator sets and other electrical equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform various types and levels of maintenance and repair on generators and parallel systems ranging from 5-5000kw. Troubleshooting and repair of Automatic Transfer Switches, to include bypass isolation, and closed transition types as well. Repairs will include performing preventative maintenance service (oil and filters), troubleshooting AC and DC circuits, removing and replacing any and all components as necessary, performing warranty work per manufacturer’s guidelines, performing start-up/commissioning on new generators and generator systems.
Perform diesel or gaseous engine troubleshooting and repair to include but not limited to ignition components, injection systems, valve adjustments etc.
Perform load bank testing on generator(s) to ensure units are in the proper operating conditions and meet applicable code requirements.
Assist other technicians with large multi-person jobs, or troubleshooting complicated issues.
Education and Experience
HS Diploma required; Associate degree in an electrical/mechanical related field preferred.
Current Generac Power Systems certification preferred
US Air Force Electrical Power Production Specialist, US Navy Electrician’s Mate, or Generator and/or UPS field service technician preferred

Must have excellent communication skills and be able to give verbal/written reports of job status, repair recommendations, equipment/supplies needed.
Must be able to account for time spent on jobs and travel.
Must have an excellent driving record and have a valid driver’s license. Work independently with minimal supervision in an efficient process.
Conduct performance checks and regular preventative maintenance.
Timely and accurate completion of daily work reports.
Drive to remote work sites.
Minimum of 30 preventative maintenances (PM's) to be completed weekly.
Maintain a company vehicle according to company policies, which will include maintaining vehicle records, ensuring regular maintenance is performed at appropriate times, and the vehicle is always kept clean and in safe working condition.
Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.
Core Experience
No previous experience required.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.
Must have a valid driver's license for at least a year with an acceptable driving record, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

At Pearce safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA Standards.
This is a 100% travel position. Travel is required for 21 days in a row potentially out of state with 7 days at home break periods.
Travel costs will be paid by Pearce Services, with an additional $50.00/day per diem.
Compliance with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA Regulations.
Must have the ability to inspect equipment, both visually and audibly.
May need to pass DOT physical.
