Responsibilities & Essential Duties
Assist with the initiation, tracking, and closure of Management of Change (MOC) processes.
Prepare, coordinate, and document Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs).
Update and maintain redline documents, ensuring accuracy of process diagrams and field modifications.
Organize and maintain electronic records for MOCs, PSSRs, and redlined documentation.
Support communication across Operations, Engineering, and EHS to ensure timely execution of process changes.
Support lost production event tracking, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
Perform quality control audits on operational databases and escalate discrepancies.
Gather data from operational systems (ODS, EBS, SAP, PI, Wellview) to support business decisions.
Provide ad hoc reporting and operational data support.

Bluebeam/CAD/drafting proficiency preferred.

Job Description
The Product Development Engineering Aide contributes to the development of new products and systems by supporting engineers in the design, prototyping, system testing, characterization and documentation of new products and systems. The Product Development Engineering Aide also responsible for managing and maintaining the lab, equipment and component inventory as well as BOMs (Bill of Material) for PCBs.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Working closely with Product Development Engineers on projects involving Vicor Power Components
• Performing bench testing and characterization of new products and systems for datasheets, application notes, and model correlation
• Generating test procedures and complete reports documenting the results of experiments, and testing performed on the bench
• Rapid prototyping, troubleshooting and testing of new circuits and components which work with Vicor power components at a system level
• Building complex thermal-mechanical assemblies for air cooled and liquid cooled systems
• Soldering and rework of components, ICs and mechanical assemblies to aid in testing, or repairing damaged components
• Maintaining laboratory and equipment, keeping records of calibrations, researching and testing new equipment, assembling equipment into test racks and managing the stock of components in the lab
• Aiding in the generation of new schematics and PCB designs, creating and maintaining BOMs (Bill of Material) and working closely with either contract manufacturers or operations to assemble PCBAs
• Writing ECO, IAS and other documentation control requests
Education / Qualifications
• Associates degree or 5+ years experience as technician, technical aide, or engineering aide.
• Familiarity with lab equipment used in the characterization and design of power supplies and systems (oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, EMI analyzers, loads, sources, etc.)
• Proficiency soldering and reworking small surface mount components with good accuracy and cleanliness. IPC J-STD-001 soldering certification a plus.
• Ability to methodically approach tasks and projects, manage time, and document results and procedures with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshooting skills with basic power systems a plus.
• Familiarity with CAD and office tools (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc., especially Altium) a plus
• Experience working with high voltage DC/DC or AC/DC power supplies and power systems is a plus
• Experience designing or assembling thermal-mechanical systems including liquid cooling is a plus

This position performs technical support of the high vacuum equipment for PVD and related robotics. The individual must understand vacuum technology, general practices, and procedures within the semiconductor field and be able to apply such skills fluently to perform field service duties at customer's clean room. In addition, provide on-call technical support, which may require off shift work.
This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s).

Install equipment control software and maintain record of software revision history.

About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring
2-3 years of experience with PVD or semiconductor vacuum equipment with AS degree is required, Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
Candidates without AS or BS may be considered with equivalent experience in the same field
Multi chamber cluster systems and robotics experience is highly preferred
Ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings for troubleshooting
Experience with PLC and other software applications is a plus
Ability to work independently following 3-6 months of on the job training
Must have analytical skills for problem analysis and resolution
Decide on problem solving road map and follow methodical means to resolution
Decide and recommend spare and consumable parts for PM's and repairs
Job may require domestic travel up to 25% and international travel for training.

The service member will be on the job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40hrs per week. Outlined below are the Goals, Objectives, and Outcomes for the program.
Goals
- Provide transitioning service members fellowship-style job skills training during the last portion(s) of their military commitment. This program is specifically designed to offer internships that result in the potential to transition to a full-time opportunity as the conclusion of the training. Interns will serve as a pipeline for high-speed, motivated military candidates into NGC.
Objectives
- Service Members who complete the Intern program will be highly trained, capable, future employees that align to the specific needs of the organization and are prepared to meet the NG mission "Defining Possible" on Day 1. Conduct readiness evaluations using the Surface Force Training and Readiness Manual (SFTRM), particularly Chapter 6

Apply expertise in Material Maintenance Management (3M) and the Planned Maintenance System (PMS)
