In this role, you'll play a key part in onboarding and offboarding, employee recognition, travel coordination, training logistics, and HR systems support. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and brings a positive, team-oriented mindset. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain the HR email inbox and HR team channels. Process I-9 verifications in compliance with federal requirements. Process and track employee status changes alongside the Payroll & Benefits Specialist. Support HRBP's with employee engagement and events. Approve travel requests in Concur and troubleshooting accounts. Coordinate training sessions across all locations. Schedule lunch and learn events, including catering and room reservations. Create employment-related letters, including status change and exit letter. Schedule and coordinate exit interviews with respective HRBP's. Process employment verifications and maintaining employee files for accurate recordkeeping. Send and approve onboarding packets and verify required documentation. Send platform invitations and ensure all employees badge photos are uploaded for easy identification throughout platforms. Provide relocation information and support account setup/login troubleshooting. Track and distribute employee recognition and perks (i.e. baby boxes). Support HR special projects and ad hoc requests. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in a Human Resource coordinator or administrative role Background in startups or aerospace preferred - they don't have ton of "processes" so someone from a more structured banking/hospital/etc. background might not be the best fit Expectational organizational and multitasking skills Strong communication skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems (ADP Workforce Now) Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Collaborative attitude and ability to work independently in a contract capacity.

Support of Human Resources Functions: * Assist child nutrition new hires with completing required forms, documents, and other onboarding tasks through electronic systems. * Coordinate employee transfers, terminations, and changes in assignment within HRIS and Child Nutrition systems. * Serve as a point of contact for Child Nutrition staff with HR-related questions. * Communicate effectively with new hires to provide guidance, answer questions, and address concerns related to the onboarding process. * Process payroll forms for hourly employees. * Maintain an onboarding database to ensure that employee information is accurate, current, and reliable. * Research and maintain current information on child nutrition rules, requirements, and processes. * Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required. * Prepare correspondence, forms, and reports according to district standards and requirements. * Assist in the coordination of the employee performance appraisal system for Child Nutrition staff and ensure all supervisors meet requirements with appropriate documentation in the required timeline. * Maintain active fingerprint subscriptions for all employees to receive criminal history notifications. * Ensure all staff undergo appropriate background checks for the public education setting. * Upload fingerprint information for new hires and unsubscribe departing employees. * Oversee the distribution of reasonable assurance letters for child nutrition staff. Process Improvement: * Suggest or support improvements to onboarding procedures to enhance efficiency and employee experience. Professional Growth and Development: * Participate in professional development that increases effectiveness and improves District performance. * Monitor and track required training (e.g., food handler certification, safety courses, etc.) for Child Nutrition staff. School/Community Relations: * Foster positive interactions with employees and community members, serving as a knowledgeable resource and ambassador for the District. Organization Morale: * Participate in team-building activities and the decision-making process as appropriate. * Communicate and collaborate with campus/department staff to enhance services to ensure customer satisfaction. Other Responsibilities: * Comply with policies established by federal and state law, including but not limited to State Board of Education, local Board policy, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). * Maintain confidentiality. * Provide responsive and knowledgeable assistance to employees. * Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures. * Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
