EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years old, have neat appearance and be able to follow instructions. Must have experience with warehouse equipment. When picking, special care should be taken to make sure that stickers are placed on all cases and product picked correctly. Watch labels carefully for quantities, pack sizes and brands. All labels for out-of-stock merchandise must be turned in still attached to label sheets. When pulling merchandise, handle it with care, stack product so as to avoid damage. A safe and sanitary work environment should be maintained at all times during the selection shift. All selected product should be staged at the proper dock door for loading. When finished picking, make sure equipment is in the proper place and plugged up. A clean-up of assigned areas of the warehouse is required at the end of the shift. POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Responsible for ensuring that material is picked to fulfill orders accurately and moved to shipping, staging, or counter in a timely manner * Unload and accurately receive inbound shipments * Responsible for pulling and staging internal branch to branch transfers within 24 hours * Ensuring the product being shipped to another branch or customer is quality and not old, broken, or used * Ensure product is properly wrapped and secured before shipping * Be vigilant as to any possible theft * Responsible for properly putting away products received in correct bin locations throughout the warehouse * Safe operation of forklift to accomplish necessary product movement * Ensure safe stacking and placement of products in racks, shelves, and other designated product bin locations * Rotate products every time new product comes in * Conduct all operations in accordance with OSHA & MSD standards. * Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse * Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion for vehicles, forklifts, and machinery * Ensure the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation * Maintain daily trash disposal to ensure warehouse cleanliness in a tour ready environment * Assist in the cleaning of the warehouse, counter area, bathrooms, outside parking lot, yard, and vehicles * Maintain Chemical Spill Kit in warehouse located near chemicals in case of an emergency, as well as Eyewash Station * Responsible for accurately preparing all UPS/FedEx shipments, ground or air * Perform additional tasks as required and/or assigned PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION * Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: The warehouse employee works with operations manager, branch manager, and other warehouse personnel to ensure accurate and timely pulling of orders and placement of stock. Flex-Force(Part-Time) Warehouse Order Puller This position will be part-time/temporary with a flexible schedule. Individuals will choose which shifts they want to work prior to the work week. Discuss any space concerns with the Load Crew Manager. * Build loads for each order in the most efficient manner. * Pull and load the exact amounts given through the voice picking system or system generated pick sheets. * Ensure loads are done accurately and neatly. * Be aware of code dates and load the oldest product first. * Visually inspect all cases loaded to ensure they are in saleable condition. * Load all carts/pallets onto appropriate route truck. * Load the product on each truck properly to prevent damage. * Clean all areas before leaving at the end of your shift, keeping work area clean. * Clear the pick area of debris and stretch wrap at the end of the truck loading process each night. * Prior to the end of your shift each night ensure all empty pallets are removed from the pick area and properly stored. * Report any accidents to manager on duty immediately. * Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the company. * Obtain from the Warehouse Manager approval prior to working in excess of your regular schedule. * Dress in uniform and maintain your personal appearance in a professional manner and according to company policy. * Conduct all your activities within the guidelines of all company policies and procedures. * Conduct all of your activities in accordance to the local, state and federal liquor control regulations. * Perform all work activities in accordance to the safe work practices, policies and procedures. * Adhere to all established inventory control procedures and practices. * Adapt to any new responsibilities required by the Warehouse Manager and Load Crew Manager. * All other duties as assigned.
