SCOPE OF ROLE
Reporting to the Supervisor, BH Services the Counselor, School Based will provide an array of services to support school students and staff. These services may include education, consultation/training, prevention, crisis intervention and ongoing treatment. Ongoing treatment services will be developed in response to a student's needs, including complete diagnostic assessment, case management, and individual, group and family counseling. You will be relied on to provide excellent and complete diagnostic client assessment. You will formulate treatment plans by providing community, home, and school-based counseling services to children and their families.
HOW YOU'LL SUCCEED
Working primarily in the school environment, will demonstrate excellent outreach and engagement skills, forming positive relationships with school staff, students, and parents.
Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments for referred students, incorporating input from students, parents and educational staff. These will be conducted at a location convenient for the family, including school, office or home.
Develop treatment plans to meet assessed needs, including specific goals, objective and interventions.
Facilitate referrals to other Signature Health services and community resources as needed.

Act as an advocate/liaison for client and parents with school and other community partners/agencies
Comply with all agency policies and procedures.
Maintain all aspects of HIPAA, promoting patient confidentiality and right to privacy.
May be required to perform telehealth services as determined by school, family preference and Signature Health protocols.
Adherence and completion of compliance training provided by Signature Health.
Responsible for and completes all productivity/documentation requirements.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

About Your Schedule

Job Description
Join the region's largest behavioral health system and help make a positive impact in the lives of staff, children, and families! The Achievement Center of LECOM Health is accepting applications for a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide quality and compassionate care to the children and youth of our community.
The LPC/LCSW provides mental health therapy to children/adolescents up to 21 years of age and their families. Bring your years of experience and talent to bear as you design and direct the implementation of treatment through the agency-based psychiatric clinic and school-based sites in the North East, Iroquois, Girard, and Erie City School Districts.
Responsibilities include providing flexible scheduling and service options for families, ability to demonstrate advanced knowledge of child development and childhood disorders, assign diagnoses, assess strengths and therapeutic needs of the child and family, and provide family-focused therapy to client/family members according to treatment plan. Due to the pandemic, interested candidates must also be willing and able to provide both face-to-face and telehealth services to clients and their families.
Successful applicants must have the ability to meet established productivity standards and all documentation deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with children/adolescents and their families in a professional and empathetic manner is required.
*** $3,000 Bonus offered!!
*** Eligible for $3,000 Bonus payout as follows: $500 at time of hire, $1,000 after three months, and $1,500 after successful completion of six months.
The minimum starting salary for this position is $45,000. Starting salary increases based on experience and certifications.
Employee has the potential for additional earnings through the agency's incentive program/plan. Average incentive payments are approximately $5,000 annually per person.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Master's Degree in mental health field required.
Current PA LPC or LCSW Licensure required.
Must be able to obtain Act 33/34 and FBI clearances upon hire.
Must complete Mandated Reporter training within 30 days of hire.
Must be able to complete Safety Care training.
Must be able to complete CPR/FA training.
This position has a one year employment obligation to be eligible for the bonus payout. Bonus will be paid out at the schedule stated above. You will be required to sign a contract at time of hire.
Safety Care Training to provide “hands off” crisis de-escalation within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children/adolescents.
Training in PCIT and TF-CBT.

SCOPE OF ROLE
Reporting to the Supervisor, BH Services the Counselor, School Based will provide an array of services to support school students and staff. These services may include education, consultation/training, prevention, crisis intervention and ongoing treatment. Ongoing treatment services will be developed in response to a student's needs, including complete diagnostic assessment, case management, and individual, group and family counseling. You will be relied on to provide excellent and complete diagnostic client assessment. HOW YOU'LL SUCCEED
* Working primarily in the school environment, will demonstrate excellent outreach and engagement skills, forming positive relationships with school staff, students, and parents.
* Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments for referred students, incorporating input from students, parents and educational staff. These will be conducted at a location convenient for the family, including school, office or home.
* Develop treatment plans to meet assessed needs, including specific goals, objective and interventions.
* Facilitate referrals to other Signature Health services and community resources as needed.
* Work with school staff to plan and implement early intervention activities, including screenings, classroom presentations, and discussion/ student support groups.
* Assist clients to learn and utilize behavior and feeling management techniques interchangeable within a school and home setting.
