    Job DescriptionDescription: TITLE: Commercial Loan Boarding Specialist III JOB FAMILY: Go – Loan Operations DEPARTMENT: Loan Operations PAY GRADE & FLSA: 5 Non-Exempt The Commercial Loan Boarding Specialist works as part of a team, in a fast-paced complex commercial loan environment, under the direction of the AVP, Loan Servicing Manager. This position boards new & renewed Commercial, Commercial Real Estate, Commercial SWAP and Participation loans as well as consumer and mortgage loans. While operating within regulatory requirements, QCRH loan policy, standard operating procedures, etc., this position accurately boards and services loans within the core. Commercial Boarding Specialists are responsible for other loan servicing duties such as monitoring/servicing of participation loans, posting of payments and advances, file maintenance, daily balancing, reporting for our banks and other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Board (inputs) all new loans, renewals and modifications for all loan types listed in the job summary, for all bank charters within the holding company, utilizing automation, interfaces, and manual processes, as appropriate. • Responsible for the daily balancing of loan general ledger accounts and the servicing and funding of investor payments and advances for participation loans. • Accurately prepares and submits monthly reports such as SBA, USDA, and Investor reporting, making sure deadlines are met. • Services existing loans by posting loan payments or advances and completing file maintenance requests. • Provide superior customer service by establishing and maintain effective communication with banks, departments and team members. • Serves as a resource and back for the other boarding specialist • Provides training for new hires in the department • Assists other areas both in and outside of the department with testing and projects related to lending/loans. • Analyzes and address problems or issues as they arise, understanding when there is a sense of urgency. Has a thorough understanding of how loans work, including the ability to calculate interest manually. • Performs various duties as required or assigned • Serves as a knowledgeable resource for topics related to the Core and Commercial loan servicing. • Must actively demonstrate the core values of QCRH including Passion, Achievement, Accountability, Collaboration, Innovation and Inclusion in all you do. • Comply with all company or regulatory policies, procedures and requirements that are applicable to this position. • Foster and preserve a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required to support the company’s mission, vision and values. QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or equivalent • Three to five years’ experience in a loan operations department or similar area with emphasis on commercial lending. Knowledge of bank loan documentation, loan core data input and general ledger entries. • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to focus on detail work and accuracy while anticipating potential issues and next steps. • The ability to prioritize and organize workflow. • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Skilled with various computer programs (Word, Excel, Etc.) WORKING CONDITIONS: • Duties are performed in a professional office environment. Salary and Benefits The following compensation and benefits information is provided pursuant to applicable pay transparency and compensation posting laws. The minimum hourly wage for this position is $19.44-$25.57. The actual wage will be based on qualifications and business needs and may vary, as permitted by applicable state law.
