    The SBA Sr Loan Servicing Specialist will perform a variety of servicing functions related to Small Business Administration and USDA loans, and will directly and frequently interact with a wide range of parties, including borrowers, lending and credit staff, Accounting, insurance and title companies, and other third-party vendors. The position will be responsible for processing internal and external servicing requests, ensuring SOP servicing requirements are met as well as adherence to internal credit policies and procedures. The SBA Sr Loan Servicing Specialist will maintain the post-closing exception tracking and collection process, working closely with the assigned Portfolio Manager. Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions * Performs post-closing review of executed closing package, ensures file completeness, and maintains and manages documentation exception tracking and collection processes. * Responsible for imaging of complete closing package to HomeTrust Bank's system. * Submits loan guaranty fee within required timeframe. * Performs all SBA related servicing tasks, including disbursements, billing, payment processing, payoffs, set-up of automatic payments, and loan history requests. * Reviews and processes remittances and reports, including submission of 1502 report to fiscal transfer agent. * Utilizes tickler system to monitor UCC continuations, collateral and business insurance, and real estate taxes. * Processes SBA and USDA modifications, deferments, and other loan maintenance. * Balances and reconciles assigned DDA's and general ledger accounts. * Collaborates with assigned SBA Portfolio Manager on applicable servicing actions and assists with ongoing file management. * Books and reconciles required entries upon receipt of loan sale proceeds. Job Requirements Education: * Associate degree in business or related field required. Required: * 3+ years of experience in SBA Loan Servicing and/or Loan Operations. * Strong understanding of SBA programs, reporting requirements, secondary market sales, and standard operating procedure as it pertains to job functions. * Working knowledge of loan documentation and regulatory requirements. * Thorough background with a core banking system. * Above average communications skills with emphasis on listening and problem-solving skills. * Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with exceptional organization skills. * Ability to understand and use bank policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance in conjunction with the SBA's Standard Operating Procedures and USDA's Policies and Procedures. * Ability to prioritize duties and work independently. * Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail. * Ability to meet designated deadlines while remaining flexible to changing assignments. * Must be able to work in a team environment and contribute to building a positive team atmosphere. * Customer service and experience oriented. * Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
