Primary Responsibilities: * Track receipt of mail, trailing documents, credit files, and closing packages and update mortgage production system accordingly. * Match up credit files and closing packages to be prepped scanned to imaging software. * Update file tracking software and process barcode for credit file. * Ensure all checks received in closing packages are processed appropriately and in a timely manner. * Audit trailing documents (Mortgages, Assignments, Consolidation Agreements (CEMA's) and Final Title Policies) per investor guidelines and in comparison to data on mortgage production system. * Contact settlement agents and title companies (via phone, fax, or email) to request outstanding documents and/or corrections. * Complete various projects, as assigned, either individually or in a time environment. * Generate and follow-up on daily department reports, as needed. * Communicate with impacted areas regarding exceptions as they arise. * Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies. * Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. * Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. * Complete other related duties as assigned. Scope of Responsibilities: Work closely with both Internal and External Customers such as co-workers, Loan Production Office employees, settlement agents, and title companies. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities: Not Applicable. Education and Experience Required: High school Diploma or GED. One year prior business experience preferably in Operations (Lender, Title Company or Settlement Agent's office). Good PC skills with working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software. Ability to prioritize and work effectively under time constraints. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with an emphasis placed on detail. Ability to work independently, as well as, within a team environment. Ability to problem solve. Strong work ethic, reliable and dependable. Education and Experience Preferred: Associate's Degree.
