Job Purpose Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Fleet Operations, the Mechanic II is responsible for repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment of Ojjo's fleet of Truss Drivers, a customized drill rig utilizing automation and controls designed specifically for installing Ojjo foundations for utility scale solar farms. The Mechanic II will utilize quality control analysis to evaluate performance of Ojjo's Truss Drivers while ensuring all efforts are compliant with the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Job Responsibilities: Environmental and Health & Safety (H&S) Strictly adheres to all Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Provides a safe environment for all employees, customers and visitors. Operational Performance & Best Practices Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment. Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment. Complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance of Truss Drivers and applicable support equipment Complete on-site metal fabrication as needed Provide support to customer mechanics, as needed Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs. Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs. Record repairs and maintenance performed. Repair and replace damaged or worn parts. Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications. Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles. Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings. Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices. Work with Ojjo Machine Development, Product Development, and Field Applications Engineering teams to integrate feedback into product improvements Recognize and report safety concerns promptly Constantly learn and improve personal skillsets Document equipment issues and repairs such as hours, parts used, travel. Job Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED required Technical diploma or Tradesperson certification are a plus Up to 5 years construction/jobsite experience Up to 5 years Heavy Machinery or similar; drill rigs a plus Previous experience troubleshooting skills in the areas of hydraulics, diesel engines and electrical systems Experience with controls (encoders, CANBUS, linear transducers, PLC, etc.) Heavy equipment diagnostics (CAT, Cummins) Welding and fabrication Excellent judgement and able to make responsible decisions Excellent people skills and an enthusiastic attitude High level of professionalism, judgement, and strong work ethic Ability to work independently without constant direction Effective verbal and written communication skills. National Power is accepting applications to fill a Generator Service Technician opening in our North Columbus, OH, market. Under the general direction of and reporting to the Telecom Service Manager, the Generator Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of generator sets and other electrical equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform various types and levels of maintenance and repair on generators and parallel systems ranging from 5-5000kw. Troubleshooting and repair of Automatic Transfer Switches, to include bypass isolation, and closed transition types as well. Repairs will include performing preventative maintenance service (oil and filters), troubleshooting AC and DC circuits, removing and replacing any and all components as necessary, performing warranty work per manufacturer's guidelines, performing start-up/commissioning on new generators and generator systems. Perform diesel or gaseous engine troubleshooting and repair to include but not limited to ignition components, injection systems, valve adjustments etc. Perform load bank testing on generator(s) to ensure units are in the proper operating conditions and meet applicable code requirements. Assist other technicians with large multi-person jobs or troubleshooting complicated issues. Education and Experience HS Diploma required; Associate degree in an electrical/mechanical related field preferred. Current Generac Power Systems certification preferred. US Air Force Electrical Power Production Specialist, US Navy Electrician's Mate, or Generator and/or UPS field service technician preferred.
