Usually, merchandisers don't need a college education. The most common degree for merchandisers is bachelor's degree with 33% graduates, with only 32% merchandiser graduates earning high school diploma. Merchandisers who decided to graduate from college often finish University of Phoenix or Fashion Institute of Technology. Some good skills to have in this position include customer service, pet and pallets.
