Summary
The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for processing all first and second mortgages, working closely with the Loan Officers, Underwriters, and Closers from application through post-closing of the mortgage loan. In addition, this role analyzes, reviews, and clears underwriting conditions, resolves routine title issues, prepares loan files for closing when necessary, and more.
Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Processes and closes first and second mortgage applications in accordance with secondary market/Credit Union guidelines and ensures loan documentation complies with Federal, State, and local rules and regulations.
Keeps abreast of industry developments including, but not limited to, changes in regulations and technology.
Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations.
Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with members, co-workers, management, partners, and vendors.
Interacts with Loan Officers, Underwriters, Closers, Support, and Submission team members to facilitate a smooth transaction. Additionally, interacts with outside sources such as vendors, service providers, partners, and members to facilitate a smooth transaction.
Maintains a high level of customer service by being proactive in communication with co-workers, members, vendors, attorneys, partners, title company representatives to ensure proficient processing of all loans and a positive experience.
Manages satisfactory reviews and clearance of underwriting conditions which include, but are not limited to, income, asset documentation, collateral documentation, and resolving routine title issues ensuring loan files meet secondary market/Credit Union guidelines. Routine title issues include, but are not limited to, vesting issues, child support liens, judgement liens, mechanic liens, and undisclosed liens. Submits mortgage loans through Desktop Underwriter (when necessary) and reviews the automated underwriting conditions to ensure loans still meet original approval eligibility.
Inputs and updates data into loan origination systems and assures adequate file integrity. Generates and/or ensures timely generation of all required documentation and processing disclosures.
Orders various reports such as appraisals, flood certification, and title, reviewing for issues or disputes and working with various parties to clear outstanding items.
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations by maintaining an active and valid NMLS license, and completing necessary continuing education requirements as mandated for the role.
Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations.
Performs additional duties as required.
Job Requirements, Competencies, and Skills
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or other business-related degree preferred, will consider experience in lieu of degree.
Minimum of three years related experience; related work experience in mortgage industry required.
Detailed knowledge of secondary market guidelines and regulations.
Knowledge of the mortgage process from origination to post closing.
Obtain and maintain NMLS license number as required each year, including completion of required education and training.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Strong decision making and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects/duties.

Utilize the AESD / Army Enterprise Service Management Platform (AESMP) to create and close an ITSM ticket for each TMS ticket that is generated daily. This ITSM ticket will reflect the TMS ticket number for historical and metric measurements.
Maintain a file of all completed work requests for the life of the task order and make them available at any time to the Government.
Categorize work order requests as either routine or emergency/priority as defined by the current Army Information Technology Portfolio (AITP).
Provide work orders' status and projected completion data to the Site Manager in an effort to ensure completion of all work requests within the applicable timeframe designated in the AITP.
Accurately maintain the TMS database, including identifying physical location and status of the telephone lines for E911 response purposes.

Job Details Admin Building - Saint Charles, MO Full Time High SchoolDescription JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist team members and borrowers in all aspects to process a Mortgage Loan Application. Aids with questions both over the phone and in person. Help members assess all loan documents needed to meet guidelines and complete the processing of their mortgage loan application.
Engage with management, loan originators, underwriters, members, and third-party vendors to ensure a cooperative work environment. Request, order, and gather documentation needed for submission to investors and/or the underwriting department in a timely manner.
Required to pre-order all needed outsourced items following our milestone tasks and workflows. Review files to ensure our files stay structured throughout the process. Help assist underwriting by reviewing guidelines, income, assets, and helping issue our TBD pre-approvals.
Assist with members and work with third-party companies to clear underwriting conditions and assess future items that might be needed due to file re-structures throughout the process.
Sends out initial closing disclosure (ICD) and ensures file stays Mavent compliant.
Closing knowledge to assist as needed. Experience with loan balancing, closing document creation, wire orders and reviewing final documents for funding.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge:
Individual should have a minimum of three years of first mortgage loan processing experience.
Ability to oversee a pipeline of 25+ conventional files per month.
At least 1 year of experience of Encompass LOS software, and secondary market experience is preferred.
Skills:
The individual should have excellent oral, written and listening skills.
Able to oversee multiple work deadlines on several projects simultaneously while providing courteous service to the membership.
The individual should be team oriented and have the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Adaptable to workflows of the mortgage industry and willing to put in the necessary time to get loans closed to expeditiously.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum three years of first mortgage processing history. The mortgage processor should stay up to date with our investor's loan products and underwriting guidelines. Attendance of seminars and workshops may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The position requires the following physical activities within varying environmental conditions:
Occasionally remaining in a stationary position which may be standing or sitting for a prolonged period of time.
Occasional travel or moving from one office location to another or from one department to another at the headquarters building.
Occasional lifting, moving, or adjusting objects up to 20 pounds.
Constant communication with others through various channels including verbal, email, and chat of which the last two may require consistent use of a keyboard and mouse or another electronic device.
Work will be in a commercially reasonable temperature-controlled environment.
Occasional temporary exterior site review which could be in outdoor elements of wind, rain, or snow.

Perform routine data entry and validation tasks
Initiate third party orders (title, appraisal, hazard, flood cert, credit, etc.)
Review and validate loan documents
Handle routine calls, emails and/or chat responses
Monitor work queues and intervening as needed
Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Skills & Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
