We are looking for someone who has excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong work ethic, and an ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently. Your role will encompass the following key areas:
Perform customer installations of IoT devices and gateways using handheld power tools
Assist with equipment setup and configuration prior to customer installations
Perform in-field troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs
Write and maintain internal reports and findings from the field, as well as, field installation procedures
Interact directly with growers and farmers when onsite
Work closely with Farm Operations & Engineering teams to manage inventory and installations throughout the season
Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
Deep passion for agriculture, and helping the agricultural system evolve towards regenerative
Competent driving your own vehicle to visit customers in variable/off-road conditions
Previous experience working with power/hand tools, electrical equipment, and ability to navigate numerous computer applications and technology independently
Previous experience with electromechanical devices and multi-meters preferred
Ability to travel to numerous sites daily within California and travel up to 2 weeks at a time with short notice and flexibility to work on weekends and overtime
Ability to work at elevation, moderate heights, work in extreme environments, perform prolonged periods of repetitious duties, lift at least 50 pounds frequently
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable and safe driving record and access to a reliable vehicle with insurance

Location & Travel
Technicians need to have a highly reliable vehicle, ideally four wheel drive vehicle (eg. Jeep, 4Runner, Ford Bronco, Four-wheel drive pickup)
Travel Reimbursement: mileage reimbursement at the federal rate ($0.70/mile in 2025)
Vehicle Travel frequency: 2 - 4 days per weekly (approx 50 - 200 miles/day depending on the candidate's home base)
Long Distance Travel: Every 1 -2 months, air travel to visit customers in other regions (eg. Oregon, Washington, Canada)
