Department: Safety & Security UP Evanston Salary/Grade: NEX/17 This position is part of a collective bargaining unit. Pay will be $39.33 per hour ($82,110 per year) for an academy position and $40.90 per hour ($85,394 per year) for a lateral position. The rate is determined by the collective bargaining agreement. Job Summary: Under the general direction of a Police Sergeant performs professional police work in the field. The Highlights Public Safety Officers detect and prevent crime and enforce all laws and University rules and regulations, preserving the peace, protecting life and property within their span of control.
