Provide excellent customer service and ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises.
Enforce rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance.

Safety and Security Specialist
Security Specialist Job 37 miles from Friendswood
Primary Purpose Under general supervision, to serve and protect the educational process by assisting with and ensuring a safe, secure, clean, and professional educational environment of excellence mitigating unsafe/unsecure conditions, behaviors, or property loss due to theft, damage, or vandalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Major Responsibilities and Duties
1. Notify the police, fire department, EMS, or other appropriate authority of any situation requiring emergency response or immediate attention.
2. Assist campus administration, police, and/or emergency responders in emergencies.
3. Adhere to district safety response protocols, safety guidelines, and emergency procedures.
4. Assist school administration with enforcing student safety regulations.
5. Build positive and professional relationships with students and staff leveraging these relationships to establish and maintain productive and safe learning environments and common areas of the campus.
6. Assist visitors by giving directions, needed explanations, or by acting as a guide to authorized visitors.
7. Actively respond to fights or other activity that threaten the safety or security of students, staff, and/or guests.
8. Provide safety and security support at assigned or scheduled athletic events, extracurricular activities, after hours campus events, and/or district events.
9. Restore order and discipline wherever deployed.
10. Report school rule offenders to school authorities.
11. Monitor school premises for safety concerns and report to appropriate administrator.
12. Report open and/or broken into buildings or damaged property to designated personnel.
13. Know and practice the proper safety techniques in lifting, climbing, and performing other job duties.
14. Correct any unsafe conditions that may exist in the work area. Any conditions that are not correctable by you are to be reported to the supervisor immediately.
15. Attendance at work is an essential function.
16. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Experience:
* One to three years of experience in a related field
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education/Certification:
* High School Diploma
* Valid Texas driver's license
