General duties included assisting with the overall care and maintenance of agricultural research projects and facilities associated with the Panhandle Research Station located in Goodwell, Oklahoma and associated facilities at Eva, Oklahoma. This position is to assist and advise Station Superintendent, research project personnel and research station personnel in conducting research activities, crop production, and general station upkeep. An Assistant Superintendent must have sound independent judgment for daily research station operations such as seedbed preparation, planting, harvesting, cultivating, irrigation, chemical applications, weighing, processing, storing, and distribution of research crops. Follow all label recommendations, State and Federal regulations regarding the utilization of pesticides. They must be able to effectively assign duties, provide hands-on supervision, and routinely inspect the work of other full-time and temporary personnel for quality, safety, and compliance. This position requires a service attitude with strengths in teamwork, professionalism, dependability, and resource stewardship. Other duties are to be completed as assigned. Education & Experience
Position Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's in Agriculture Related Field
1 year operation of agricultural equipment, research equipment, and vehicles. Work related experiences include but are not limited to: familiarity with farming practices, equipment operations, equipment repair, some supervisory experience, leadership roles, workload management, basic research practices in agricultural or natural resources management.
Ability to operate equipment such as tractors, mowers, combine, sprayers, tillage equipment, planters, shop equipment, pickup and trucks. Ability to safely climb ladders, excavate trenches, load seed and fertilizer, climb on and off farm equipment and other related physical tasks. Ability to carry more than 50 lbs. frequently and in excess of 75 pounds occasionally. Sitting, walking and standing for extended periods are necessary as well as repetitive bending, kneeling, and overhead lifting.
Much of the work is performed outdoors and is subject to normal weather conditions which may including heat, cold, moisture, noise, and dust. There is physical danger when the individual is exposed to agricultural machinery, livestock, and practices including but not limited to equipment and facility maintenance, applying pesticides, applying fertilizer, planting, and harvesting.
Must possess and maintain valid driver's license. After hire, must acquire demonstration and research pesticide applicators license within 9 months.
Ability to effectively work with people, supervise personnel, good communication skills, ability to provide clear directions. Ability to work with faculty, staff, technicians, and graduate students of many departments within and outside DASNR, as well as the general public and visitors to the research station. Ability to assist in demonstrations of equipment and station research areas.
Broad knowledge of agronomic crops, horticulture, irrigation practices and work experience in agriculture. Progressively more responsibility in management of research projects.
Good mechanical aptitude required. Must have an eye for detail to help implement a preventive maintenance program. Must be able to maintain, make repairs, and operate various research equipment including irrigation, and other general agricultural equipment such as tractors, skid loaders, chain saws and sprayers. Basic understanding of small engine operation, carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
Computer knowledge and operation is required for communication and record keeping. Computer skills are required including utilizing e-mail, spreadsheet, word processing and web-based programs for communication, maintaining projects project records and training.
Preferred: Masters Horticulture/Plant & Soil Science/Biosystems Engineering/Animal Science/Agricultural Economics/Natural Resource and Environmental Sciences Four years previous work-related experience to include operation of farm and research machinery and vehicles. Management of research projects and data.
CDL Class A driver's license.
An Oklahoma Ag Chemical Technical Service Applicators or Demonstration and Research license.
Excellent interpersonal skills, effective leadership and time management.
Previous management of agricultural research projects.
Excellent equipment operation and mechanical repair skills.

* 5 years related experience including 3 years of nuclear power plant experience and 1 year of supervisory or management experience
* The 3 years of nuclear power plant experience should at least be at a level requiring policy, planning, and decision making related to the programmatic aspects of the radiation protection program as a whole. A significant amount of the station RPM's experience should be relevant to supervising in-field radiation protection program activities (e.g., As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA), radiation protection operations, and radioactive waste shipping). The individual filling the radiation protection manager responsibilities for the station shall have 3 years of experience in two or more functional areas of radiological protection, which includes as low as reasonably achievable, bioassay/whole body, decontamination, dosimetry, radiochemistry, radiological environmental monitoring program/radiological effluent technical specifications, radiation protection instrumentation, radiation protection operations, or radioactive waste. In addition to the experience requirements, individuals with no prior RPM experience should have six months of time onsite before being assigned RPM duties. Licensees should evaluate required onsite time for experienced RPMs who are new to a site or a reactor technology (e.g., Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) or Boiling Water Reactor (BWR)). The purpose of the onsite time is to provide a newly assigned RPM sufficient opportunity to learn the location and performance characteristics of key equipment and other plant-specific information that is necessary to make informed decisions concerning radiological safety. (Refer to Regulatory Guide 1.8, Revision 4)

Required: Bachelor's in Agriculture Related Field
1 year operation of agricultural equipment, research equipment, and vehicles. Work related experiences include but are not limited to: familiarity with farming practices, equipment operations, equipment repair, some supervisory experience, leadership roles, workload management, basic research practices in agricultural or natural resources management.
Ability to operate equipment such as tractors, mowers, combine, sprayers, tillage equipment, planters, shop equipment, pickup and trucks. Ability to safely climb ladders, excavate trenches, load seed and fertilizer, climb on and off farm equipment and other related physical tasks. Ability to carry more than 50 lbs. frequently and in excess of 75 pounds occasionally. Sitting, walking and standing for extended periods are necessary as well as repetitive bending, kneeling, and overhead lifting.
Much of the work is performed outdoors and is subject to normal weather conditions which may including heat, cold, moisture, noise, and dust. There is physical danger when the individual is exposed to agricultural machinery, livestock, and practices including but not limited to equipment and facility maintenance, applying pesticides, applying fertilizer, planting, and harvesting.
Must possess and maintain valid driver's license. After hire, must acquire demonstration and research pesticide applicators license within 9 months.
Ability to effectively work with people, supervise personnel, good communication skills, ability to provide clear directions. Ability to work with faculty, staff, technicians, and graduate students of many departments within and outside DASNR, as well as the general public and visitors to the research station. Ability to assist in demonstrations of equipment and station research areas.
Broad knowledge of agronomic crops, horticulture, irrigation practices and work experience in agriculture. Progressively more responsibility in management of research projects.
Good mechanical aptitude required. Must have an eye for detail to help implement a preventive maintenance program. Must be able to maintain, make repairs, and operate various research equipment including irrigation, and other general agricultural equipment such as tractors, skid loaders, chain saws and sprayers. Basic understanding of small engine operation, carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
Computer knowledge and operation is required for communication and record keeping. Computer skills are required including utilizing e-mail, spreadsheet, word processing and web-based programs for communication, maintaining projects project records and training.
Preferred: Masters Horticulture/Plant & Soil Science/Biosystems Engineering/Animal Science/Agricultural Economics/Natural Resource and Environmental Sciences Four years previous work-related experience to include operation of farm and research machinery and vehicles. Position Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's in Agriculture with 1 year operation of agricultural equipment, research equipment, and vehicles.
Work related experiences include but are not limited to: familiarity with farming practices, equipment operations, equipment repair, some supervisory experience, leadership roles, workload management, basic research practices in agricultural or natural resources management.
Much of the work is performed outdoors and is subject to normal weather conditions which may including heat, cold, moisture, noise, and dust. There is physical danger when the individual is exposed to agricultural machinery, livestock, and practices including but not limited to equipment and facility maintenance, applying pesticides, applying fertilizer, planting, and harvesting.
Ability to operate equipment such as tractors, mowers, combine, sprayers, tillage equipment, planters, shop equipment, pickup and trucks. Ability to safely climb ladders, excavate trenches, load seed and fertilizer, climb on and off farm equipment and other related physical tasks. Ability to carry more than 50 lbs. frequently and in excess of 75 pounds occasionally. Sitting, walking and standing for extended periods are necessary as well as repetitive bending, kneeling, and overhead lifting.
Must possess and maintain valid driver's license. After hire, must acquire demonstration and research pesticide applicators license within 9 months.
Ability to effectively work with people, supervise personnel, good communication skills, ability to provide clear directions. Ability to work with faculty, staff, technicians, and graduate students of many departments within and outside DASNR, as well as the general public and visitors to the research station. Ability to assist in demonstrations of equipment and station research areas.
Broad knowledge of agronomic crops, horticulture, irrigation practices and work experience in agriculture. Progressively more responsibility in management of research projects.
Good mechanical aptitude required. Must have an eye for detail to help implement a preventive maintenance program. Must be able to maintain, make repairs, and operate various research equipment including irrigation, and other general agricultural equipment such as tractors, skid loaders, chain saws and sprayers. Basic understanding of small engine operation, carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
Computer knowledge and operation is required for communication and record keeping. Computer skills are required including utilizing e-mail, spreadsheet, word processing and web-based programs for communication, maintaining projects project records and training.

Job Summary

5 years related experience including 3 years of nuclear power plant experience and 1 year of supervisory or management experience
The 3 years of nuclear power plant experience should at least be at a level requiring policy, planning, and decision making related to the programmatic aspects of the radiation protection program as a whole. A significant amount of the station RPM's experience should be relevant to supervising in-field radiation protection program activities (e.g., As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA), radiation protection operations, and radioactive waste shipping). The individual filling the radiation protection manager responsibilities for the station shall have 3 years of experience in two or more functional areas of radiological protection, which includes as low as reasonably achievable, bioassay/whole body, decontamination, dosimetry, radiochemistry, radiological environmental monitoring program/radiological effluent technical specifications, radiation protection instrumentation, radiation protection operations, or radioactive waste. In addition to the experience requirements, individuals with no prior RPM experience should have six months of time onsite before being assigned RPM duties. Licensees should evaluate required onsite time for experienced RPMs who are new to a site or a reactor technology (e.g., Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) or Boiling Water Reactor (BWR)). The purpose of the onsite time is to provide a newly assigned RPM sufficient opportunity to learn the location and performance characteristics of key equipment and other plant-specific information that is necessary to make informed decisions concerning radiological safety. (Refer to Regulatory Guide 1.8, Revision 4)

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Outstation Station procedures under the guidance of the Regional Outstation Maintenance Manager. Must identify any changes that will enhance departmental process quality and submit Maintenance Program Revision Request for applicable policy and procedure changes.
Responsible for the oversight of personnel/contract maintenance in regards to administrative requirements, training, work performance, and compliance of company policies, safety and procedures obtained in the GMM.
Develop and maintain sound personnel and labor relations and employee safety awareness.
Ensure that the department's functions are planned and carried out effectively and economically.
Coordinate with required management personnel to ensure completion of maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of company aircraft.
Schedule manpower of proper skill level for maintenance functions through coordination with Planning Department and Maintenance Control.
Responsible for the discipline and efficient utilization of contract maintenance, station supervisors, leads and mechanics under his supervision.
Ensure that tools and assigned equipment are cared for per Company policy and are readily available when needed.
Coordinate and communicate with other Kalitta Air Departments and Regional Outstation Maintenance Manager.
Analyze mechanical difficulty reports and identify any changes to enhance station efficiency.
The Station Manager is fully authorized to carry out all assigned responsibilities. This includes hiring employees, disciplinary action for employees and recommending termination of those under his supervision.
Analyze expenses and operational requirements to manage the budget accordingly.
Coordinates with required departments to ensure effective completion of maintenance, preventative maintenance, alteration, and repair of company aircraft and ground support equipment.
Ensure personnel are using current working copies of manuals respective to the job at hand.
Liaise between any contract maintenance entity and other departments within Kalitta Air LLC.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Regional Outstation Maintenance Manager.
NOTE: The Station Manager may delegate any assigned duties to any qualified assistant; however, such delegation does not relieve him of overall responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Have at least 3 year of experience maintaining the same category and class of airplanes operated by Kalitta Air
Must be appropriately certificated under 14 CFR Part 65
FAA Airframe & Power Plant Certificate
Individual must be organized and able to work with computers and programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
