Clerk is required to ship and track all outgoing materials generated by the Buffalo plant.
Keep the receiving area and office organized, clean, and safe.
Deliver US mail and small packages to 2nd floor offices.
Keep vendors/delivery drivers of any changes to receiving schedule (holidays, shutdowns, vacations)
Inform manager of any safety hazards in the receiving area and/or office.
Attend plant wide communications and safety meetings as required.

Summary

What You'll Do
* Contribute to a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment. Follow established Standard Operating Procedures, Environmental Health and Safety Rules, and immediately address safety concerns
* Receive material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses. Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list
* Keep incoming orders stocked on shelves orderly and in designated area and reports freight damage claims
* Prepare branch orders from the warehouse and ensure that the correct number and type of product is being shipped
* Process paperwork regarding shipments including but not limited to; verify that the merchandise to be shipped is correct, apply the correct postage tape and label, follow customer shipping instructions and, insure the shipment when necessary
* Operate machinery including forklift, reach truck, and wire cutting machine when required
* Load common carrier and company vehicles
* Inspect and perform minor maintenance on equipment
* Perform inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies
* Make deliveries to branches/customers as needed
* Assist with other warehouse or branch duties as needed
* Other duties as assigned

Pulls black knob on the end of the 30,000 gallon tank to open shut off valves.*
Inspects each cylinder for test date, 1075 labels, and any excessive rust or dents prior to filling.*
Fills all cylinders on dock.*
Fills cylinders for all customers who come to dock with invoices.*
Repairs tanks that have issues.*
Fills and stencils new cylinders delivered to company in order to put them into service.*
Pushes black knob on end of 30,000 gallon tank to close the shut off valves.*
Closes the fill room at the end of the day by turning the 6 switches off in the fuse room.*
