Under direct supervision of the Food Pantry Manager, assist in the Warehouse as trained and instructed. This position is on a random call-in basis.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in unloading truck delivering USDA food.
* Assist in manually receiving, counting, distributing and warehousing food in a FIFO (first in first out) fashion.
* Assist in custodial duties to include cleaning work area.
* Assist in inventory using IFMS (Integrated Food Management System) inventory system, receiving, warehousing, storing and distribution of food to include the checkout IFMS scanner.
* Fill client orders received in person or via telephone. Assist clients with transporting food to their vehicles.
* Assist clients shopping if needed.
* Operate a forklift safely to move pallets and food boxes.
* Practice excellent customer service skills at all times to include, but not limited to, addressing customer and employee needs courteously and promptly.
* Deliver food to the elders, disabled and in times of emergencies according to program rules.
* Contribute to a team effort and accomplish related results as required
