BGS is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Technical Lead (Career or Expert Level) to drive innovation in Structural Design and Additive Manufacturing (AM) within the BGS Defense Logistics Services and Rapid Sustainment Engineering (RSE) organizations which support all DLA platforms including commercial derivative and military aircraft programs. This role focuses on implementing advanced manufacturing processes to produce hard-to-source spare parts, reduce lead times, address top fleet degrader parts driving aircraft on ground, mitigate DMS/Obsolescence, and meet customer requirements. The key responsibilities are to serve as a conduit to BGS Program Managers and the Boeing Additive Manufacturing (BAM) organization and be a Subject Matter Expert (BDE/SME) in Structural Design and Additive Manufacturing.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Hazelwood, MO, Oklahoma City, OK, or El Segundo, CA facility.
Position Responsibilities:
The candidate will collaborate with all programs in the BGS portfolio to enhance manufacturing processes, utilize Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence to gather part requirements and provide solutions for critical spare parts, lead the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies, including Reverse Engineering and Investment Castings, to reduce lifecycle costs and lead times.
This unique role will give the candidate the ability to develop certification standards and design practices for new technologies.
Establish a BGS Innovation Cell for rapid prototyping and testing of new ideas.
The candidate will engage with domestic and international customers to build trust and drive revenue through innovative solutions, mentoring and educating BGS technical leaders on advanced manufacturing technologies.
This candidate will also participate in high-visibility opportunities, technical design reviews, and Qualification Review Boards (QRBs) as a recognized SME. This recognized SME will be the Technical Lead Engineer (TLE) to coach, mentor, guide, share knowledge to other members of the Rapid Sustainment Engineering team.

Follow BPI-6908 (Enterprise AM Qualification Review Board (QRB)) and PRO-6924 (Chief Program Engineer)
Attend, present, and participate in BAM-related meetings (weekly VP check-ins, monthly BPRs, etc.) when requested to do so
Traveling to Auburn and/or El Segundo to meet with BAM personnel as necessary
Be the team manager's delegate at QRBs when requested
Review QDDs (Qualification Description Documents) prior to QRB, as requested
Perform TLE RAA such as: coach, mentor, share knowledge with members of RSE team
Security Clearance:
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
