JOB SUMMARY:
Perform a variety of accounting functions. Responsible for supporting accurate and timely financial reporting and accounting activities, the Staff Accountant prepares and reconciles financial statements, ensures compliance with accounting standards, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain financial integrity and support audit processes.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain various payroll worksheets, ensure accuracy of UO cash transactions, create/maintain/analyze various UO leases and work as liaison with lessor on lease tracking and invoice payments.
Complete month-end close duties including report review and prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts in accordance with NBCU account reconciliation requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within accounting workflows, leveraging tools such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Intelligent Automation (IA), and other technologies to streamline repetitive or manual tasks.
Record financial transactions through posting of a variety of journal entries into the GL System.
Assist with ad hoc projects and requests as applicable.
Assist with monthly and quarterly corporate reporting by compiling and reviewing requested financial information and submitting based on NBCU requirements.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
