This is a per diem position (temporarily working approximately 32 hours a week, Mon - Fri through the summer and then per diem to fill in as needed) supporting vascular imaging in a busy Cardiology practice. Performs Doppler exam and understands blood flow patterns by Doppler spectrum analysis. Performs the Doppler scan by using pulse, continuous, and independent probes, recognizing normal and abnormal flow patterns (carotid imaging, lower extremities).
What you will do:
Assists the physician in obtaining real time images, demonstrating all structures and recording diagnostic finding.
Able to stand for long periods of time (30-60min/exam) while performing exams.
Performs appropriate imaging procedures and obtains optimum diagnostic data for interpretation by the supervising physician.
Maintains appropriate care of all ultrasound equipment.
The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
3 - 4 years of experience as a Cardiac Ultrasound Tech (experience with carotid imaging, lower extremities) required.
Current Heartsaver Basic Life support required, (American Heart Association)
One (1) of the following preferred:
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International
Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)

Position Purpose:
Under the direction of the Radiology Manager and Modality Lead Technologists, the imaging assistant is responsible for direct patient care activities and clerical duties as assigned for CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Radiology. Job Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physicist produces an optimal external beam treatment plan (IMRT/VMAT, 3D) using Eclipse and/or Ethos TPS (adaptive or non-adaptive planning)
Guided by the ALARA principles and having patient's best interest in mind participates actively in the decision process for the selection of the best patient treatment course
Performs rigid and deformable fusions of multiple image datasets.
Accurately identifies and contours Organs at Risk on different modality datasets (CT, MR, PET)
Assist with HDR procedures when needed
Generally supervises each initial treatment set up to assure compliance with treatment plan and prescription
Designs custom cut-outs for electron treatment and places orders using dot. Decimal software
Assists the physicist in generating QA plans and calculations.
Performs other duties such as billing and assists with patient scheduling
Assists the Radiation Oncology team on miscellaneous tasks and on most challenging clinical cases
Minimum Qualifications:

What you will do:
Demonstrates advanced technical proficiency for all Cardiovascular Lab procedures while functioning as the cardiovascular technician, hemodynamic recorder or circulator.
Demonstrates an understanding of cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures and entry of charges into the electronic medical record.
Assures quality patient care through coordination of patient care with other members of the hospital patient care team.

Licensure

The IR Tech is responsible for providing direct patient care, processing images, and entering charges. The IR Technologists works as an integral member of the IR Team consisting of physicians, residents, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, radiology technologists and other colleagues to provide excellent care for patients undergoing procedures with imaging guidance.
Position Purpose
IR Techs use fluoroscopy (essentially real-time X-ray), specialized wires, stents and other tools to visualize the patient's condition in real time and also change what they see
What you will do:
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the radiographic / digital imaging equipment and table positioning as appropriate for safe patient care.
Demonstrates ability to acquire images and send images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
Demonstrates ability to communicate verbally and in written form (e.g. sticky notes) clearly and effectively with other members of the team.
Transports patients to and from procedural area, admitting and recovery area, and other areas within the hospital as needed.
Assists with patient transfer to and from procedure table and stretcher.
Establishes and maintains ongoing communication with the physician operator throughout procedures to facilitate patient safety, diagnosis, and treatment.
Demonstrates willingness to learn new procedures and coordinates in-service/education for other associates, as needed.
Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician. Recognizes signs of a contrast reaction and responds appropriately with corrective action.
Systematically reviews history and physical, lab values, prior imaging, and correlates invasive procedure protocol with patient's physiological status. Communicates findings to physician operator and fellow team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved Diagnostic Radiology program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Able to respond on-site within 30 minutes when participating in the on-call rotation.

Assesses hospice and palliative care patients of all ages to identify needs and provide interventions that meet individual needs. Collects data in collaboration with the patient and/family as demonstrated by the documentation on the patient record.
Performs the initial assessment of needs during first visit and documents those needs within appropriate time frame. Assesses the emotional well-being, physical health, social function, communication abilities and cognitive skills through musical responses. Communicates findings and problems to appropriate team members.
Plans and implements care for patients of all ages based on needs assessed to ensure individualized care. Identifies and documents problems, and sets developmentally appropriate goals, time frames, and interventions.
Provides and documents direct patient care according to the Care Plan, within set target dates, and according to all departmental policies. Designs music sessions for individuals and groups based on client needs. Provides basic and specialized teaching as required in the Plan of Care and documents the response of patients and/or family in the patient's record.
Regularly evaluates patient's progress, takes prompt action when any change in the patient's condition is noted or reported, and terminates care when goals of management are attained for patients of all ages. Participates in treatment planning, ongoing evaluation and follow-up. Re-evaluates and documents the patient's response to music therapy. Based on patient response does appropriate modifications to the Care Plan in a timely manner. Recognizes changes in the patient's physical and mental status and informs health care professionals within a reasonable timeframe.
Identifies own learning needs and seeks direction/approval from supervisor to meet those needs as documented on the goal section of the performance appraisal.
Educates staff about the role of the Music Therapist and the use of music therapy interventions with hospice patients and families.
Assesses and monitors program development and evaluation of music therapy services.
Attends all mandatory Hospital initiated training
Communicates effectively and tactfully with clients, recognizing their age, cultural diversity, needs, abilities and physical condition.
Can be depended upon to report to work on-time, use time off appropriately, and complete annual education & medical requirements.
Performs other and related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree; Masters preferred.
Graduate of an approved music therapy program; Board Certified as a Music Therapist.
A minimum of two years experience and work in the area of end of life issues preferred.
Maintains current Drivers' License and auto insurance.
Possess reliable transportation
