About the Position:
PartnerRe is among the top reinsurers of the Surety business in North America. Our team is comprised of respected underwriters who have carved out a lead position in the market. We maintain a well-balanced portfolio of national, regional and specialty clients. This position is a key underwriting role within the Financial Risks Surety North America team. Candidate will work with Head of Surety NA, Global Product Leaders and Business Unit Leader of Financial Risks and engage with clients and brokers to underwrite new and renewal business in the US and Canada. Candidate will represent PartnerRe at industry functions including NASBP, NAIS and SFAA. Cross training opportunities are available with PartnerRe international offices, allowing for exposure to our global surety and credit businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with Head of Surety NA to execute our underwriting strategy in line with PartnerRe goals and objectives.
Collaborate on underwriting, pricing and overall account relationship management with SLFR senior underwriters, Product Leaders and Business Unit Leader.
Handle results-oriented underwriting by helping develop a technically sound and profitable portfolio.
Provide a relevant market presence and continue to build the PartnerRe brand with key clients and brokers
Support and foster a culture of agility, high performance, client centricity and solution- oriented decision making
Represent PartnerRe at market events, underwriting file reviews and workshops
Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and procedures.
Support portfolio management and exposure/risk accumulations according to corporate guidelines.

Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Portfolio management and optimization experience with demonstrated ability to execute strategy in line with SLFR risk appetite

We are excited to announce that the Excess Casualty Market team within IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for an Underwriter with at least 3 years of experience in a production role. This position can work from IAT's Office in the Northeast. For the right candidate, other IAT locations, including remote, can be considered for highly qualified candidates. Analyzing and verifying mortgage loan applications, evaluating financial risk and making recommendations for presentation to the Management Loan Committee. Underwrite mortgages to secondary market and FHA/VA/CHFA standards.

Each Associate Underwriter provides vital team functions:
Review submissions information required to issue new or renewal quotes
Rate and prepare of new or renewal quotes as directed by Underwriter
Review of and handling of inspection recommendations and discrepancies
Monitor various reports for consistency
Potential for policy issuance and endorsement processing, including audits
Assist in accounting procedures such as invoicing
Data entry into multiple internet based systems
We are looking for people with:
Degree from an accredited four-year university or equivalent experience
MGA, Underwriting, or Carrier experience preferred
Pursuant to state regulation, the salary range for this position is $58,700, and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
