The Account Executive Officer (AEO), Commercial Accounts will partner with agents and brokers to provide property, general liability, commercial auto, and/or workers' compensation coverage for new and renewal business based on customers' needs. Six to eight years of relevant underwriting experience with experience in commercial lines. Deep knowledge of commercial lines products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market. Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to proactively identify underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges and analyze available information to make timely decisions in alignment with our risk appetite. Excellent communication skills with the ability to successfully negotiate in difficult situations with agents and brokers. CPCU designation. What is a Must Have?     Underwrite 1st and 2nd mortgage loans in accordance with established policies and procedures and appropriate guidelines. Examine all documentation for accuracy and completeness Responsibilities Screen loan applications to determine the appropriate funding source and program. Calculate income for all types of borrowers, review complex tax returns and financial statements, accurately complete the appropriate income calculation worksheet according to the agency, analyze various sources of funds, and establish general creditworthiness of potential borrowers. Review information provided in loan package; requests additional information as required. Evaluate risk as it relates to borrowers, collateral, and transactions. Provide final approval underwriting of conventional, VA, and FHA mortgage loans including but not limited to lease holds, construction, non-owner occupied, condominiums, mortgage insurance secured, and higher risk loans. Underwrite credit, capacity, and collateral in accordance with established policies and procedures and investor requirements. Maintain a current knowledge of agency and investor guidelines. Thoroughly review guidelines to ensure loans meet applicable underwriting standards. Qualifications HS diploma or equivalent or required, bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 2 - 4 years of experience in the mortgage industry required. Thorough working knowledge of real estate documentation, policies, compliance, and procedures. High level of proficiency with mortgage loan processing and underwriting systems. MS Office proficiency required. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
