Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage all phases of dam removal and stream restoration projects, from initial assessment and planning through permitting, design, construction and post-removal monitoring * Apply advanced knowledge of stream and restoration techniques to design and implement projects which restore natural hydrology, improve water quality and enhance habitat connectivity * Ensure all projects comply with federal, state and local environmental regulations * Provide technical guidance and oversight on sediment transport, geomorphic assessments, and ecological monitoring related to dam removal and stream restoration * This position requires overseeing the work of others and management of small and complex projects of various types * Environmental Senior Project Managers prepare project proposals and budgets (including complex proposals in response to publicly solicited requests for proposals), lead business development initiatives within their operating group(s), serve as a technical resource to junior staff in their area(s) of expertise, review technical deliverables, invoices, and field reports prepared by junior staff * Environmental Senior Project Managers may be required to supervise junior staff directly and if so, will be responsible for maintaining a sufficient workload for all junior staff under their supervision * This position requires the ability to independently solve day-to-day problems on projects with limited direction or involvement from executive staff.
