Compassion Acceptance Respect Empowerment Sincerity Job Summary The Mental Health Worker at BBHH is perhaps one of the most important roles in our hospital. The amazing people who fill this role provide basic nursing care, aid with activities of daily living, and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Under the direction and supervision of the Charge Nurse and unit Lead Mental Health Worker, within the job modifications and work restrictions outlined by their physician. The position is an hourly, non-exempt, overtime-eligible position with a wage starting at $21.00 for all new hires. Automatic merit increases will apply annually based on annual evaluations. *Shift differential applies for night shift position. Requirements WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: Simply put: HUMANS WHO CARE Though we do need to meet some minimum requirements for the position such a High School Diploma or Equivalent, we're really looking for people who bring their HEART to work. You should have a current CPR certification when you apply or obtain certification prior to your start date. Additionally, you'll complete a "Handle-With-Care" Physical Restraint Technique Training during your orientation. This position operates on an Alternate Work Schedule of 12 hour shifts from 6pm to 6:30am. Ideally, someone with at least 6 months of experience focused on human behavior, psychiatry, psychology, social services and related field will apply.
